You can purchase cheaper vitamins but they will not be as effective because they use fillers. It's also important to have vitamins that help each other to be absorbed in your body properly. I have an autoimmune disease that tends to make me suspectible to all kinds of germs. I have to take my multi-vitamin faithfully to keep my immune system healthy. He recommended it over the comparable Twinlabs version (which used to be his, as well as my favorite). This seems to be a very high-quality multi. I usually take it twice a day. Whenever I start taking it regularly, my skin seems to be brighter and more luminous (not exactly sure why that happens). If you have the money for it, and need high quality nutritional support, I would recommend this multi-vitamin to you.
